I've also done quite a bit of testing of MacPerl module on CPAN Testers. http://pudge.net/mmp/ http://www.perl.org/cpan-testers/ I urge you all to try CPAN Testers when you are not sure if a module works under MacPerl, and if the module is not listed there, please let the macperl-modules list know, and maybe someone can test it. And if you are so inclined, please help test more modules, too. I also put up a binary build of Text::Metaphone. I also put up a new version of MPEG::MP3Info, but that has nothing to do with MacPerl, specifically. But I mentioned everything else I did, so I mentioned that, too. :) I encourage those of you who are interested in dicussing any of this in depth to join the modules list and discuss there. - -- Chris Nandor mailto:pudge@pobox.com http://pudge.net/ %PGPKey = ('B76E72AD', [1024, '0824090B CE73CA10 1FF77F13 8180B6B6']) ==== Want to unsubscribe from this list? ==== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-modules-request@macperl.org ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Feb 99 16:38:14 PST From: pvhp@forte.com (Peter Prymmer) Subject: [MacPerl-Modules] Re: [MacPerl] Modules and Things Chris Nandor wrote Sun, 21 Feb 1999: > I encourage those of you who are interested in dicussing any of this in > depth to join the modules list and discuss there. I'd like to help out if and when tuits arrive. BTW, in search of the list(s) I went first to http://www.macperl.org/ to see how to subscribe, I was redirected to http://www.macperl.com/ where I saw mention of: For discussions about MacPerl and to interact with members of the MacPerl Community, be sure to join the MacPerl mailing list! but there was no hyperlink among that text. Fortunately I noticed an IMG that pointed towards mailing list info which took me to http://www.macperl.com/depts/mlist.html But that page only mentioned: To subscribe (or unsubscribe!), use our subscription form, or send Email directly to the MacPerl list's Majordomo daemon at mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch. The message body should be the word "subscribe" (the Subject of the message is ignored). Be sure to send your request from the account at which you wish to receive the list! Is there any hope of making the other secret lists a bit more public? (Well I'll just go ahead and *assume* that there is a majordomo@macperl.org - wish me luck ;-) Peter Prymmer P.S. Yes I know that Vicki posted some instructions a while ago (that I have probably already deleted :={) I am just trying to point out that the web interface/info could be a tad less obtuse/out-of-date. ==== Want to unsubscribe from this list? ==== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-modules-request@macperl.org ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Feb 99 17:36:27 PST From: pvhp@forte.com (Peter Prymmer) Subject: [MacPerl-Modules] Re: [MacPerl] Modules and Things Chris Nandor wrote in response to me: > On the http://www.macperl.org/ page there is a link to the lists.
