I get a clean parse of this XML using 2.23 on MacOS 8.1.
As Matt says, it's well-formed XML.
There have been enough *serious* bugs fixed in earlier versions of
XML::Parser that it's strongly recommended to use the latest (except for
2.24, that is, as Paul points out, which is broke).
