I have not been able to make this work, but would suspect that this 
is not a limitation of MacPerl but of Mac HTTP servers, e.g. Quid Pro 
Quo in my case.  A script that does uploads just fine on my Linux 
server fails on my Mac.  There is some complexity wrt the location of 
temporary files so I am not 100% convinced that it is impossible, 
just that it is not automatic.

If I am right, then the only Mac solutions would involve 
different/better HTTP servers.
