Hi, (hope this is not a faq). after programming a few smaller scripts under Perl, I am now faced with the more advanced stuff :-) What I have to get running somehow pretty soon, is partially mirroring some WWW sites (our own US sites in this case). I found the "htget" package from Oscar Nierstrasz, and tried to start it. Obviously I have to place some stuff in the "lib" folder in the MacPerl directory and to adapt some of the pathnames to other library files. Short question before I maybe try to do something that is just for the experienced ones: Has anyone get "htget" to run under MacPerl? Do I have to adapt other UNIX packages or is the MacPerl distribution complete in terms of TCP/IP support? If anyone has adapted the "htget" files to run under MacPerl, could I get a hold of it or is a ftp site with the modified stuff somewhere? Finally: if somebody has a better idea of how to mirror parts of a WWW sites to a local machine please tell me. Thanks for any hints, Toni --------------- Toni Zollikofer Motorola SPS FAE Central Europe Schatzbogen 7 81829 Muenchen Germany Email: zollikofer@email.sps.mot.com Tel.: ++49-89-92103-514 FAX: ++49-89-92103-260
