WebSTAR 1.3 and later support plug-ins using the new WSAPI that are indeed faster than "conventional" AppleEvent-based CGIs, but existing CGIs are definitely not obsoleted by this and will continue to work. I suppose it would be possible for someone to write WSAPI glue for MacPerl (similar in spirit to the BBEdit Extension glue), but as such a plug-in would have to use AppleEvents to move data back and forth between it and MacPerl anyway, most (if not all) of the performance benefit of WSAPI would be lost. ________________________________________________________________________ Stephan Somogyi "too many cartoons and pez, i guess" Digital Media
