Looking ahead to the next wave of application design, wouldn't it be
awesome for MacPerl to be OpenDoc compliant?  OpenDoc implements the
equivalent of input and output streams, which would make a number of things
easier for MacPerl.  Data in OpenDoc documents would become easy to use
with MacPerl.  And, MacPerl could just ignore the editor problem and let
people use whatever OpenDoc-compliant editor they like.
