Two questions: I downloaded the new version of MaPerl. When I chose help the application said it needed a POD helper. Note, I'm REALLY new to this stuff. So, I told Internet Config to use Netscape. When it opened Netscape it attempted to open pod://...... which didn't work. I changed "pod" to "file" in the URL and it opened it as a text document. Do I need to somehow convert the files? The last version didn't require any of this so I'm a little confused. Any help would be appreciated. Also, We publish a directory of Bed & Breakfast Inns. We place the description of each inn from our printed edition on html pages (example: http://www.moriah.com/ncoast.html ). These originate from our FileMaker Pro database. Since I'm using a Unix server I can't use the majority of options out there for serving FMPro files. What I would like to do (I think) is to save my records to an associative array, with the inn name and description, that can be searched for key words. This would then spit out a list of inn names as links which could be clicked on. The links could either be an existing html page or one created on the fly -- depending. What I want to avoid doing is having to create a web page for each inn. Instead, I would rather return their text much the way a database returns only the records you wish. Anyway, any ideas on this subject? Am I trying to make a complicated issue too easy or is it a fairly simple process. I attempted searching an associative array but failed which is when I found out my help files weren't working :-| I know this is a general perl question but I figured Mac users would be more aware of FMPro and able to give some sound advice (other than get a Mac server :-) Thanks in advance, Scott -- _______________________________________________________________ | Moriah Mountain Publishing | | Border to Border Bed & Breakfast Directory | | | (Formerly: The Oregon Bed & Breakfast Directory) ___|___ | | Coming Soon...the inns of | | | Oregon, California & Washington | | | | | | Email: inns@moriah.com | | Web: http://www.moriah.com/inns/ | |_____________________________________________________________| | With God, All Things Are Possible | | Without God, Nothing Is Possible | |_____________________________________________________________|
