I've found some "materials" at:

        ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/mac/umich/hypercard/xcmd/

But the documentation there doesn't seem to be too good. But, maybe
you'll find something there??

(Me) ... I'm new to this list ... and new to programming.
Unfortunately, I have no Unix, C, or *sigh* ... Macintosh programming
expertise to contribute, so I don't know how much more I can say. And
I'm just beginning to explore Perl ...not so much from interest but
out of some necessity.

(My experience was long ago, with CICS, and some questionable exposure
to PL/1 ... and I used to play lots of Adventure on an old Vax... so I
don't know how I can offer to help any more.)

I'm still looking for some thing that allows me to do block reads and
block writes from a SCSI disk drive (for my Plus)... and the only
thing I've found there is some undocumented FSRead and FSWrite calls.

Hopefully, once I gain some more experience, I'll be able to
contribute more.
