Boy, Am I ever impressed with Matthias work with Perl! I downloaded the cgi glue code and a semi-recent CGI.pm. And it all works out of the box! I am starting to work through the examples in the CGI.pm documentation, so far so good. I am using both MacHTTP and "Quid Pro Quo". The nice thing is that Quid Pro Quo is freeware. It can be found at <http://www.slaphappy.com>. The bad news is that testing is a memory hog, currently: System Software = 16,106K NetScape = 12,285K MacPerl = 5,353K Quid Pro Quo = 5,844K (I am running an old version of Speed Doubler which sets the cache at 3 Meg.I am also looping back via freePPP.) Seems like running a Mac with lots of CGI stuff could quickly run one out of memory.... Maybe all of the MacPerl users ought to make a contribution to Matthias so he can get a superduper mac so he can crank out good stuff even faster! --Jerry LeVan levan@eagle.eku.edu
