Silly me ... I forgot about that script!  I've used the pod2x translators,
but never the 2text translator, and it totally slipped my mind ...

I just tried it, and it worked without any modifications whatsoever.  Just
drop the pod2text script from the MacPerl distribution in the Perl Filters
folder, open the pod file, select the filter and run it, and bang!  SOMEONE
has been doing some good work around here ...
