Yes,

Environments like Hypercard allows one to see the variables activity in a
monitor window; this window displays the variables names as they are
declared and you can see their content changing as they are modified, all
while the program is running.

To my mind, MacPerl would greatly benefit of such a functionnality, though
this would probably involve major interface work, and I don't think it is
Matthias priority.

Anyways, just a dream...  ;-)
