Well, a bit out of the scope of MacPerl, but p5p people did not want a
publically accessible newsgroup, figuring the noise would be too high.
They aren't exclusionists so to speak, as anyone can join, but they didn't
want the trouble, figuring (as you do with this list) that the list was
working just fine for them, so there was no need to "fix" it.  There was
significant discussion about it, but p5p shot it down.
