I agree.  I have lots of scripts that create new files, which I don't 
want as MPW files, but the SetFileInfo call doesn't always work.  Now at 
least I know why, and what to do about it, but this "feature" should be 
explained in the docs.

Interestingly, running MacPerl from an older version of MPW (a beta of 
3.4.2), SetFileInfo worked every time, but with the final version 
included in ETO 23, it's a crapshoot.
