[MacPerl] MacPerl clipboard to string variable

I can't seem to find a way to move text from scrap (clipboard)
to a variable. Nothing found via shuck or any other place I
looked.

I would like to create a simple droplett that would, when
activated, grab the text on the clipboard and append it to
a pre existing file.

A few of these would make it much easier to collect snippits
of information without always having to open a file with an
editor just to paste something into it.
