[MacPerl] question about appleevent

Hi,

i ve an extension for AS that do volume mounting. Is there a way to use
it without using an AS script (even in macperl).

with AEtracker, i see the appleevent that are done, but the thing is:
it is possible just with appleevent under macperl ???
