I'm at the other extreme - I include a bit of code within the text I'm
writing.  :-)

So far, I've been using Alpha to run the code (it's amusing to get the
colourizing in the pod text), and just save the file and pass it on to
the Shuck program to format it.  (I'd do that more if Shuck was able to
print!)

So far, I've been using the 6.52 version of Alpha.  Is there any big
benefit from 7.0, beyond the higher chance of bugs in a Beta release
(aside from your extension mode, of course).
