Full-blown SQL RDMSs are a little scarce on MacOS.

Beside Oracle, you might wish to inquire about PowerBuilder 6.0 from Sybase <http://www.powersoft.com/products/powerbuilder/pb60data.html> -- the spec sheet indicates that the PowerBuilder IDE includes a desktop version of Sybase SQL Anywhere, although it's not available as a stand-alone product for the MacOS. Another option could be Butler SQL from Everyware <http://www.everyware.com/products/butler/Butler_Info.html>, which is a full-fledged, stand-alone SQL RDBMS for the MacOS.
