That was supposed to be a feature (touching the surrounding folder tells the Finder to update quicker), but I picked the wrong routines for getting the current time and as a result, was off by a factor of 60. (And I promise I'll strangle anybody suggesting a better testing program for MacPerl in a followup :-) >Can I look forward to a patch for this directory timestamp bug soon? No, it's not fixable with a reasonably sized patch. However, the bugs that have accumulated up to now are serious enough that I'll probably do a full release around Christmas.
