Sorry, i apologize by advance! I ve found that the "Desktop DB" file contains the path to the app registered in a mac (if i ve well understand "inside mac:more mac toolbox: desktop") So, the problem that some have with double-click on a word file , launching macperl could be perhaps solved... Does somebody know an app that permit to read the "Desktop DB" using the PBDTGetAPPL? (i don t think it is possible to do that with MacPerl, but perhaps i m false...) And if possible an app that use PDBTAddAPPL (in order to force the path) and PDBTRemoveAPPL (in order to delete false path) I hope that it will permit to some of us to repair this damned desktop database (rebuilding it is not sufficient) -- Laurent BARDI Ingenieur Systemes & Reseaux Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique INSTITUT de PHARMACOLOGIE et de BIOLOGIE STRUCTURALE Tel : 05-61-17-59-47 http://www.ipbs.fr/ Fax : 05-61-17-59-94 lolo@ipbs.fr CNRS-IPBS 205 Route de Narbonne 31400 TOULOUSE FRANCE /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// / There is worse than to have not succeded : / / Not to have tried ! / /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// If it stinks, it's chemistry.
