Well, that's what the book will hopefully do!

Also, there is the MacPerl FAQ-O-Matic at http://www.ptf.com/macperl/ which
can be used for exactly this type of thing.  Unfortunately, it has not been
put to much use yet; but I implore those of you who have free time to put
some of your knowledge and the list's knowledge to good use there.

FYI, it is also ctrl-D on most other shells I am accustomed to using, so
this is not really a MacPerl difference, though yes, it should be
documented.  :)
