I have been using MacPerl since last May and have had great success until just recently. Sometime in December I upgraded to 5.1.5r4 and just recently I upgraded to 5.1.9r4. Recently I have run into some serious errors running my scripts which may (or may not) be related to these upgrades. Here's what happens ... When I run a script (message board, calendar, search, etc.) it runs fine on the first call. Then (while the cgi application is still in server memory) on subsequent calls (maybe the next, maybe after a couple of more ...) some or all of the fields come across as empty which triggers various errors. For instance, a cgi-lib.pl error complaining of a content type error and then printing a blank field. Interestingly, the problem never occurs on the first call and apparently randomly thereafter. Has anyone noticed similar problems? Maybe you could give me some ideas for tracing the problem. I am running perl scripts as cgi applications. These problems do not appear on other types of scripts or Lasso. I have replicated the problem on a Centris 650, 603e clone, and a new G3 desktop. All computers are running Mac OS 8.1. All of these scripts ran fine last fall using Mac OS 8.0 and whatever was the latest version of MacPerl at the time. Although I am not a programmer, I have a fairly good understanding of the basics of MacPerl. So I might to make sense out of some technical responses. Any kind of help or info would be greatly appreciated. My website is kind'of hurting at the moment. I have about 30 - 50 scripts acting erratically ... Thanks in advance.
