[MacPerl] MacPerlCFM, CFM-68K and AppleScriptLib

I'm *still* trying to get MacPerl CFM to work again on my machine. It
*still* complains that AppleScriptLib cannot be found.

The AppleScriptLib file is present as "PowerBook HD:System
Folder:Extensions:AppleScriptLib" on my PowerBook and "Lancelot:System
Folder:Extensions:AppleScriptLib" on my LCIII.

Both are version 1.1, created Wednesday 1 December 1993, 14:00. They are
both 13,673 bytes. This is as distributed with System 7.5, with the 7.5.3
and 7.5.5 updates applied. Is there a later version available somewhere?
Does MacPerl expect a different version? Is it supposed to be installed
elsewhere?

Here's how I installed everything:

 - Reformat hard drive
 - Install System 7.5
 - Update to 7.5.3
 - Update to 7.5.5
 - Set system time, date, time zone, computer name, owner name,
turn 32bit addressing on, then reboot
 - Install CFM-68K (v4.0) with ObjectSupportLib v1.2
 - Install MacPerl 5.1.9r4
 - Update to MacPerl Appl CFM68k

If I upgrade to BigMacPerl, it will actually run, so I guess I'll stick
with that. Are there any disadvantages to using the BigMacPerl over the CFM
version? I'll have to install Data::Dumper differently, but that's not an
issue, since it doesn't work yet anyway. I don't have MPW.

MacPerl is installed on the PowerBook HD - the PowerBook is connected to
the LCIII using the special "pretend you're a SCSI disk" cable. So the
LCIII sees two local SCSI drives - SCSI ID 0 is the boot up volume
"Lancelot", SCSI ID 1 is the PowerBook HD.

I *know* I had this working before - I think it was only with an earlier
version of MacPerl though (5.1.6 perhaps? I'm only guessing).

Does anyone else have MacPerl 5.1.9r4 Application CFM-68K running on their
Macintosh?
