He is certainly aware of the push, because he was quite supportive for it as long as I was working on it (It was actually Doug who gave me most of the day-to-day advice, but Dave was quite enthusiastic). Assuming that his silence is *not* because he has written me off as being not one of "the best designers & developers" (Somehow this phrase reminds me of Allan Ginsburg :-), I'll contact him in the next few days and mention the existing Perl groups where this could be discussed (p5p, oneperl).
