[MacPerl] sending email

Hi,
	I've just joined up to this list , and as with so many new-comers
to a list I've started my first post with a question.

sending email with mac perl ?

I'm use to using
 
open (sendmail...
print 
close (sendmail)

what is the easy answer on the mac ?
