[MacPerl] Setting a files Finder comment field

I would like to place some information into the "Comments_field" of a file.
By "Comments_field", I mean the one that is maintained by the finder and is
visable when you select a file and type Cmd I.  Can someone show me how to
do this from MacPerl?
