I now removed the ambigous use warnings (by doing what Perl itself is
saying it is doing). But  I switched back on the "-w" and still get the
"uninitialized value in global destruction" - with your code. Any idea how
to remove this last message? As I wrote in my Mail to you, this code will
be part of some application where this warning would be a problem - and
dropping "-w" is normally  no option for me.
