As far as the Toolbox documentation goes, I have to agree. I simply don't have the time nor inclination to do a reasonable job on them, and so far, most modules have not been adopted by other documenters. Basically, at the moment you need to consult Inside Macintosh to use any of the Toolbox modules (with the possible exception of Mac::AppleEvents, where Chris & others have made considerable improvements). >A question for you all: What module/ commands can I use to examine a >sound file and find out: # of channels, sample rate, duration. This functionality, is, AFAIK, not yet accessible in Mac::Sound and the Mac::Movies functionality is probably not what you need. Mac::Sound is sort of in "demand paging" mode, i.e., I'll put more work into it if somebody is willing to seriously exercise it and test new versions as I put them out. This approach has worked quite well on several toolbox modules for Alan Fry & me (well, it has worked for me; not quite sure how Alan feels about the deal :-); if you're willing to do the same for Mac::Sounds, I probably could fit some improvements in.
