[MacPerl] Converting Military Time to Regular Time...

Below is part of what I use to tell time in my message board script.  I was
wondering if anyone had a subroutine for changing the time so instead of
displaying 17:20:34 it could just say 5:20 PM.

   if ($sec < 10) {
      $sec = "0$sec";

   }
