Sorry for stating this so bluntly, but I will *NOT* extend the core Perl syntax
for a platform specific feature. Any proposals suggesting that this be
implemented outside of a namespace clearly marked as MacPerl will be met with
active resistance, rather than the benevolent apathy with which I'm currently
meeting other proposals :-)
