A url is fine with generally Oh, and feel free to submit nifty scripts, modules, code fragments, etc to the Code contributions area on the MacPerl Pages http://www.ptf.com/macperl/depts/share.html. We'll post them on the site (a central location) and put them on the next CD (with your permission, of course). > or email to the person requesting it... except of course that then the rest of us don't know about it! I don't My preference would be for scripts to be included as part of the message itself; this being a Perl list I hope we're not sharing binary only files :-) and this would allow me to ensure that the script doesn't get separated from the message at some point in time! For those who pay for email storage and delivery (or have slow modems), how long _is_ too long for a message? (I'm not a good person to have an opinion on this). > I personally favor not allowing enclosures as they can contain > nasty things like the 9805 worm or other. Which is the "9805 worm"? My understanding of enclosures is that text enclosures may harbor MS macro viruses. Enclosures sent through MS Outlook/Outlook Express, or Netscape Navigator clients __on PCs or Solaris__ could trigger a Mime tag problem if you haven't updated your client. Binary enclosures are subject to all the standard virus warnings, etc... - Vicki --- Vicki Brown, vlb@cfcl.com |\ _,,,---,,_ Journeyman Sourceror ZZZzz /,`.-'`' -. ;-;;,_ Scripts & Philtres |,4- ) )-,_. ,\ ( `'-' http://www.cfcl.com/~vlb '---''(_/--' `-'\_) P.O.
