[Note to the list: With this message, I'm closing this thread for now. Further contributions will be rejected. Also, I realize that this is a very hot summer, but PLEASE, exercise some restraint in your meta-debates. I will soon be unable to do any meaningful moderation of the list for a few weeks, so practise for that time already. ] online@mactech.com (Jeff at MacTech) writes: >Little <dennis.j.little@lmco.com> wrote: > >>>Many times people post things with snippets of code or even >>>whole programs. We've had some quite large attachments in the past :-) However, the thread has certainly taken more bandwidth than the attachment we're discusssing right now. My position on attachments is: - Keep them short (~4K is tolerable). - If possible, consider posting plain text instead. - Whatever you do, don't post HTML :-) Matthias -- Matthias Neeracher <neeri@iis.ee.ethz.ch> http://www.iis.ee.ethz.ch/~neeri "You mean you don't use machine guns in _your_ pictures?" -- Charles Bronson to Ingmar Bergman, according to bradham@panix.com (Bo Bradham) ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
