I don't know - being able to rapidly create an application via Perl and then having it generate C/C++ (whichever) code to do that could really make Perl (and on our Macs MacPerl) become the language of choice to develop code in. Especially if/when Perl can be used with X Windows and/or OpenGL. For one thing - no more worrying about malloc's and free's. That's a big bug which we are continually chasing down in people's code.
