On closer inspection, using the pretty_print routines from Srinivasan's book, I found that the Cookie object was only partially built. All the domains were there, but the accompanying hashes that were to store the cookie components were empty. $cookie_jar->as_string yielded nothing, though there was quite a bit of stuff in the structure. Then I got your message. With your fix, everything works splendidly. Many thanks for the effort, Paul. I'll check your site for the new libwww-perl-5.36 Now I can get down to the gory details of handling redirection in the UserAgent, which is why I suspect I'm still not getting through to the Wall Street Journal front page... Thanks again. --Shawn ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
