Well, I cannot help with tutoring, but two suggestions: 1. Don't call Randal "Randy". :-) And Tom Christiansen also played a big role in that book. 2. _MacPerl: Power and Ease_ is (IMO) a good book for someone just starting out with Perl on a Mac. Some have said they think it, in some ways, is a better tutorial than _Learning Perl_.
