Yep.  The resource fork is decoded as a separate file under other OSes, and
can be used by the Expander if necessary, and then thrown away.

There is only one thing stopping a Stuffit Expander on Unix: Aladdin has
not written it, and no one else can do it because the algorithms are
proprietary.

I wrote a note to Aladdin awhile back about it, and just a few months ago
an emplyee there wrote to me and said they were considering a port.
