That macs really do fit into the mainstream. The dc perl mongers have ben asked by the local mac user group for an article about MacPerl, in exchange for some free advertising space. I've volunteered to do it (as soon as I get a few free minutes) and I am planning on emphasizing the 'cross-platform-eze' of using macperl. So much web content is devloped on Macs, I think people would be pleased to know that they can get a good handle on scripting as well, both for file maintenance, and yes, cgi (sorry Chris :-) I'll also be borrowing some Mac-specific code from this list, with permission, to demonstrate the mac toolbox stuff. This might be a way for others who happen to have perl monger groups and mac user groups in the same town to do publicizing about mac operl. cheers, david ________________________________________________________________________ David Turley dturley@pobox.com http://www.binary.net/dturley "People expect you to look them in the eyes, tell 'em the truth, and they evaluate it." --Bill Clinton, October 29, 1992 HMMM... ________________________________________________________________________ ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
