G3 implies PPC, but PPC obviously does not imply G3. Saying/writing "PPC and G3" is like saying "the US and California". It is true that when you are talking about a G3 then it's a PPC that you're talking about and that when you are talking about a PPC then it doesn't have to be a G3; but you have to keep in mind that a G3 is acctually a "subgroup" of what usually is refered to as PPC. Therefore it is very much useless to say "PPC and G3" unless you are talking about two versions where one is a "works on all PPCs" and one is made to work on only G3s. /Tony -- /\___/\ /\___/\ \_@ @_/ Use ROT13 twice to decrypt this message. \_@ @_/ ---oOO-(_)-OOo------------------------------------------oOO-(_)-OOo--- DSS: 0x366F7A3A, Fp: 7BC9 6655 A620 1217 FF7A A896 D177 C228 366F 7A3A ----™™™---™™™--------------------------------------------™™™---™™™---- \O/ \O/ ©1998 <http://www.svanstrom.com/> \O/ \O/ ***** Want to unsubscribe from this list? ***** Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to mac-perl-request@iis.ee.ethz.ch
