Perhaps a MacPerl folder, in the Extensions folder (the way Aladdin, 
MachTen, and others do it). Also, in that folder, have a Read Me that 
says, "If your remove this folder, the following applications will cease 
working:" Then have each MacPerl app that installs add a line to the 
file. This way, we at least give the users a chance at not screwing 
things up. And after all, users know that messing with the System Folder, 
especially the Extensions folder, is asking for a good swift kick in the 
teeth.

Just my 2.02 yen worth, YMMV, void where prohibited by law.
