Hello folks, This is probably a newbie faq, but after ten minutes of looking, I can't find the answer... When instructing MacPerl to "Edit Script with BBEdit", the file that is opened in BBEdit is named: my_file_name.pl [Perl] BBEdit is configured to apply colorisation to the syntax of files with extensions .pl, but not files ending in [Perl]. Furthermore, when adding [Perl] as an extension in the "Languages" preference panels, it attempts define the expected suffix ".[Perl]" (preceded with a dot) rather than " [Perl". The workaround I've found is to end sourcefile names with a dot, e.g.: my_file_name.pl. ...and define a Perl language prefix in BBEdit... . [Perl] In this case, the files opened in BBEdit, from within MacPerl, are colorised. I'd prefer not to end all my .pl files with an additional dot (i.e. .pl.), so I hope there's a simpler solution. Any information greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Matt Henderson | matt@exponet.net | www.exponet.net . .
