I'm assuming you are looking for MacPerl [if your on a mac you will be].

Here's a plan:

1. Get MacPerl: Power and Ease [Chris and Vicki]. If your short on cash or
you want to take a peek, online version at http://www.macperl.com/ptf_book/

2. Read above from start to end.

3. Make a special effort to understand referencing (this stuff "->" or this
"$$").

4. Work through the example at
http://webreview.com/wr/pub/98/08/21/perl/index.html

5. Decide what to do next.
