Quentin, thanks.  I just posted a new version (0.15) to
<URL:http://pudge.net/files/macperl/scripts/>, with more fixes, including
your menu stuff, and some keyboard controls, and some other nifty features
like lading into RAM and autoplaying and allowing you to drop multiple
files, etc.  No playlists yet, though.  :)
