Greetings list members, I am writing to ask if anyone on the list has had any experience installing and using PGPLOT and to ask if there are any other data plotting packages for MacPerl out there. My interest is in generating GIF images containing data plots with labeled axes and some annotation. I've begun to work with PGPLOT but believe that in order to use it I must compile the source with both F77 and C compilers. Apparently, the PGPLOT package distributed in CPAN is limited to the Perl interface to the PGPLOT package. I was initially attracted to PGPLOT because it provides a very useful set of primitives for plotting data (as contrasted to creating drawings) although they aren't really all that primative.
