[MacPerl] IF-THEN-ELSE Logic From Configuration File

Got a problem and was wondering if anyone has seen or created the solution.
Here it is.  The project is taking place on my Mac using MacPerl and needs
the following:

The ablility to read basic IF-THEN-ELSE logic from a configuration file for
use within the code.

Anybody out there ever seen the code for this?
