I still use an SE-30 at times, partly for sentimental reasons (had it since '87, built my first web sites on it...) but also 'cause it's perfect for word processing, 'old-style' Internet stuff like email, and _programming_. Plus, sometimes I use it as an auxiliary machine to my PPC; it can sit over in the corner single-mindedly munching on large -- and critical -- data sets, while I do multiple operations in a somewhat less stable environment on the main machine. And when the SE-30 gets ready to go at those data sets, what do you think is the first and most likely Swiss chainsaw it pulls out of its pouch? I need CFM68K to run MacPerl the SE-30, yes? In acknowledgement of your brilliant and generous gift of Perl to the Mac world, I have to say that the current release does quite well. And I know that some of the goodies I anticipate, as improvements to Perl migrate to MacPerl, won't be feasible because of OS limitations on the 030 processor anyway (7.5.1 is about as far as it can go). So I understand if the work of ongoing supporting CFM68K seems less important as time passes. And I'll use MacPerl to the fullest on my main machines.
