You can simply use any text editor that can handle large files
(like BBEdit or Alpha) to edit your script.  The fact that you can't
edit a file in MacPerl doesn't mean you can't run it with MacPerl.
I've created droplets from scripts larger than MacPerl's built-in
editor can handle, and I think the mechanism for creating CGI's is the
same.
