And what does Net::FTP say? Read the pod to see how to turn debugging on. I have a drop directory on one of my Suns at work which is scanned twice a day, and anything in it is sent to my Mac at home using Net::FTP. When it's running MacOS. the server is NetPresenz. I rarely have any problems, certainly not 1/3 of the time. > >Has anybody else had this problem? Is this fixed by the Net::FTPM module >posted to this list back in July? Transfers to it go about 25% as fast as transfers to NT. It helps a lot if you can put NetPresenz in the foreground, And if you're running any potential CPU suckers like Seti@Home, turn them off. (The RC5 client, which I run, doesn't seem to have much of an effect once it's been shifted to the background, but I have no experience with Seti@Home, so 1 have no idea if the same is true for it.) > >Thanks for any insight. >John Gilmore-Baldwin > > > >===== Want to unsubscribe from this list? >===== Send mail with body "unsubscribe" to macperl-request@macperl.org > > > ------- Paul J.
