Hmmm...that seems to nail the lid pretty tightly shut on that coffin
(unless other dialects can still go into the dialects folder).  Hmmm...my
instance of MacOS 9 was installed over what had been a fresh installation
of MacOS 8.6 (on a newly-created volume, which is about as "clean" as it
possible).

Given that history, the Scripting Additions folder in the System Folder
contains an empty Dialects folder, and there is no Scripting Additions
folder in the Extensions folder (which may cause Cal to get his update of
Scripter out, finally).

I had English and French installed for a while, and it was amusing (but not
particularly useful-to-me) to watch scripts translate back and forth.  One
reason the idea stagnated is that the French dialect never worked as well
as the English (more bugs).
