[MacPerl] Serial/USB Comm via MacPerl

Hello.  I'm trying to do serial and USB comunication with MacPerl and I'm
wondering where to start.

I'd like to avoid using the CommConnect XFCN if possible, since I don't
think the comm tools will ever be extended to cover USB.  I'd rather go
straight to the toolbox calls, but I'm not sure how to do this in MacPerl.

Any help gretly appreciated...
