Dear Eric,

I am currently working on a serial driver interface for MacPerl and 
have already sent it to a few folks for early testing and feedback. 
If you are interested in taking a look at it and providing feedback I 
would be happy to send a copy to you.

I haven't examined USB issues at this time but if USB access is 
treated like other serial ports at the driver level then my work 
should seamlessly apply. Hey, I can wish, can't I?
