I use MkLinux DR3 because I have a 6100/60. I've found it robust - I
currently run with the Generic #7 kernel, have the latest egcs on it which
I built from scratch rather than RPM-install, and almost never have
problems building distros rather than use RPM (I'm a bit of a nut in this
regard).

Almost everyone has initial difficulties with PPP. It comes down to about
one of 2 or 3 different things, all well-known, and there are guides and
FAQ's about it available through the MkLinux lists.

I use perl 5.005_3 on MkLinux. Built that from scratch also. Flawless
build and installation.

Other major distros that I have working on MkLinux include Lyx+teTeX, Java
1.2 and 1.1.8, Jade and so forth.
